Who We Are

Tokyo Shokichi International Auction is a Tokyo-based auction house operated by Dairakusai Co., Ltd., specializing in Chinese and East Asian works of art.

Based in Tokyo, we organize regular auctions and previews for collectors, dealers, and art enthusiasts in Japan and overseas. Since the launch of our auction business, we have successfully conducted three auctions in Tokyo, presenting carefully selected works and specialist collections from private consignors.

Our Specialties

Our auctions cover a wide range of Chinese and East Asian works of art, including ceramics, scholar’s objects, inkstones, seals, calligraphy and paintings, Buddhist art, bronzes, lacquerware, bamboo works, and other fine objects of Asian art.

We have a particular interest in the culture of the scholar’s studio and classical collecting, with a focus on inkstones, seals, ink, brushes, ceramics, and related works.

Our Approach

We place emphasis on careful selection, clear presentation, and professional cataloguing. Each auction is prepared with detailed photography, object descriptions, and condition review, with the aim of presenting works in a transparent and reliable manner.

Through our Tokyo previews and online auction services, we seek to connect important works of art with collectors in Japan and the international market.

Consignments

We welcome consignments from private collectors, dealers, estates, and institutions, and are pleased to discuss individual works as well as complete collections.

Our team is available to provide consultation regarding consignments, auction scheduling, and the presentation of suitable works.
